Hi Camella, The biggest advantage of lace up shoes is that they have a much more adjustable fit. It's not a rule but we find that the lower profile of lace up shoes can also help them to perform slightly better on crack climbs than their velcro counterparts. However, the drawbacks of laces are the extra time it takes to put them on/take the off and having to replace laces when they wear out. If you're unsure what type of shoe is best for you we recommend you go into your local store and try some on. Hope that helps, Dave

Hi Louise, There are a few manufactures that make climbing shoes for children at the moment. Some of the better designs have adjustable heels to accommodate fast growing feet. It's been a while since any of us in the office have worn children's climbing shoes but if we could still fit them we would probably grab a pair of the La Sportiva Stickits. Hope that helps, Dave

Please be aware of that La Sportiva changed Miuras sizing couple of years back. The new Miuras are a bit smaller than before. Many pro climbers use oven hack to stretch their climbing shoes to fit exactly for their feet, but please be carefull so that you don't melt your new shoes! Please find more information about oven hack from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=457-gq-MDpY

As far as I'm aware of the only difference between these two shoe models is the colour.

Socks off FTW! Seriously dude, when you start climbing more technical routes you will really value the extra sensitivity!
