Growing up as a climber in Northern California in the early 2000’s meant growing up in the shadow of Chris Sharma. It was both inspiring and daunting at the same time. No matter what area you happened to frequent in the region, his presence was apparent with every “Sharma Problem” or “Sharma Arete” you were projecting at the time. Most of the best, hardest, and most progressive lines were his. My first V10 happened to be “Eco-terrorist” at Castle Rock State Park, and it is still one of my favorite boulder problems. I’ve been drawn to these “King Lines” ever since.
