The Hörst men are climbers. Father Eric is a climbing writer and coach, older brother Cameron climbs 5.14a, and the baby, Jon, is the youngest person in the world to redpoint a 5.14a. If you don't understand climbing grades, all of this basically means that the boys climb better than most monkeys of the same age. Today's video focuses on young Jon, an irreverent ball of boundless energy and enthusiasm. He started climbing at his family's home climbing wall at two and was on real rock by four. Follow him as he heads to Maple Canyon, Utah at the mature age of ten, to attempt his first FA. His chosen route name? Schooled by a Ten-Year Old. Well, at least he's not rubbing it in.
