HIP-DEEP DRY POOFY POWDER must be heaven, or an extraordinary kind of day in Alaska for Neil Provo, apparently. Check out this dream Big Mountain splitboard snowboarding session in what looks like the definition of IDEAL conditions.
Neil Provo spent 12 days exploring the Tordrillo Mountains in Alaska. With sub zero temps and all the terrain you could ever want to ski right outside the tent, he managed to slay line after line all without the help of a helicopter.
This is backcountry to the extreme. Alaska has the best of the best and Neil roaming around the Tordrillos has to be one of the most fun-looking sessions we've seen. Enjoy this video, and keep the longing to a minimum.
Hip-Deep Alaskan Powder, Big Mountain Shredding | The Backcountry Experience, Ep. 6
Welcome to THE BACKCOUNTRY EXPERIENCE. Our focus is on finding and capturing the human powered experience in the wintery mountains around the world. We've been breaking trail through deep powder, on iconic peaks, and into remote locations with dedicated individuals who understand that you get out what you put in.
What we lack in flashy graphics, expensive camera gear and energy drink budgets we make up for with our passion and madness for adventure. Showing that the mountains are accessible by all those willing to put in the time, education, respect and energy that they demand is our pleasure. Please enjoy our segments here and visit www.powderwhore.com for more.
