If you want to get into the best academy in South America you've got to be prepared to fight for it. In this episode of Proyecto Sofia, ex world champion Sofia Mulanovich is traveling around her home country of Peru putting youngsters through their paces and winnowing down a crowd of 67 contenders to the final 10 lucky surfers who will get to be part of her surf academy. The Proyecto is a three-year program that combines top-level, competitive surf training with life lessons anchored in the key areas of environmental protection, healthy living, and fair play. It's not wonder the competition is fierce - Peru's talent pool is super deep and these kids know they have a chance at the opportunity of a lifetime.
