Kanoa Igarashi competes in both the Junior and Main Event divisions of the 2013 US Open of Surfing. He finished 2nd in the 2012 US Open Juniors and is looking to win this year, but is still dealing with the lingering effects of his broken leg. He works his way through the rounds and has an exciting heat against his favorite surfer, Julian Wilson. His semi final finish, however, isn't up to his high expectations and he looks forward to better results in future events.
