The Alter Ego from Ride Snowboards is two snowboards in one. The split tail makes all the difference, when closed, the tail is more rigid and powerful so you have a longer board with a longer edge that's great for cruising at speed and wide open powder fields. With the tail open, the back becomes much more playful and sinks more easily in powder which is great for tree runs since the board is much more agile. There's Carbon Array 3 stringers under the bindings which add extra edge response right under your feet and Popwalls Slimewalls which both reduce chatter and add a little extra reinforcment to that tail. The setback stance and long-rockered nose all add up to a directional board that has 2 settings, fast and powerful, or powder perfection.
