The Jones Snowboards Storm Chaser Split takes one of the most recognisable powder boards on the market, and gives it the ability to take you into the backcountry. The new split system Jones are using has eliminated the bolts that we are so used to seeing on the bases of splits making for a smoother ride and more wax to get you up to speed. The 3D shape is still intact as shaped by Chris Christensen to create a jet of snow that propels you forward as you travel over the snow. This is surely the logical evolution of something called the “Storm Chaser” so now you can quite literally take this board and chase the snowfall all over the backcountry.
