K2 have expanded their Pinnacle range for 2017 and introduced the new Pinnacle 88. The 88 comes packed with the same technology as the rest of the Pinnacle series – long tapered tip, camber underfoot and a small tail rocker to make the skis more manageable. K2’s own fir-nanolite core, a mixture of two woods, along with a solid metal laminate, provide a really strong and tensionally stiff ski. The Pinnacle 88 is a 50/50 ski, designed for both piste and off piste skiing, and to be honest it skis very well on both. You will not get the float that a wider ski provides in deep powder but in lower volumes and in the chop and crud, the Pinnacle 88 has no problem. If you want a ski you know will not let you down, no matter the conditions, then the Pinnacle 88 is a great choice for you.
