Salomon and Atomic are throwing their hats into the ski touring ring next winter with their new MTN and Backland range. This is the Atomic Backland, a full range of touring skis, boots and technical bindings which, knowing Atomic, will be some of the best around. The Backland boot has all the skiing performance you’ve come to expect with 74 degrees of cuff movement which will help you climb the toughest of peaks. If you’re fanatical about the weight of your kit, Atomic have also come out with the Tour and the ULTRA lightweight Tour Lite tech pin bindings which have no adjustments AT ALL to keep weight down. That means no changing DIN and no adjustment for your boot, they have to be screwed into the ski at the correct position. If you’re looking to get a touring set up ready for next season, you’re already spoiled for choice and these beauties are just going to add to your 'want' list.
