Salewa has taken its new hiking shoe into the realm of running and basketball shoes by adding some features that are supposed to help you hike better and faster. The Speed Ascent is built to aid the natural rolling motion of the foot with a cambered design paired with the Vibram Rollingait System and rockered outsole. The shoe offers an anatomical fit that increases traction. Salewa claims their design also offers less fatigue, increased efficiency, and increased precision in your foot-strike. You'll have to be the judges of all their claims, but one thing is for sure, the shoe looks amazing. The Speed Ascent will retail for €160.
