13-Year-Old Sends 8c+, Wharton & Huey FA Hard Trad Mixed Route in RMNP

13-year-old American climber, Kai Lightner, has climbed Southern Smoke 8c+ in Red River Gorge, Kentucky, USA. One week ago he did his first 8b+, Proper Soul, in New River Gorge, West Virginia, USA. On the third attempt, Jesse Huey and Josh Wharton have completed The Production, a difficult traditional mixed route on the south side of Mt. Otis in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, USA.
