It's been over 2 months since we had a tale of Adam Ondra doing something amazing, but don't worry, he's back. After a long period of training for the upcoming competition circuit, Adam has been back climbing outdoors, this time in Northern Italy. He onsighted the 8c "Warbeast", came close to onsighting 2 8c+'s and also did 2 9a's, including the first ascent of "Back Road". This brings his tally of 9a's over 100, but in typically modest fashion he's downgraded a few of them down the years, leaving him with 92 by his own measure -- still more than 3 times what anyone else has managed. After a tough week on Mount Everest, there's some more news gradually trickling from the mountain. Several commercial expeditions have decided to end their climbing attempts this season and others may yet follow them. In the meantime, the Nepalese government have already agreed to meet the 13 demands submitted last week by the leading Everest Sherpas in the wake of the disaster. We outlined some of these earlier this week so check out episode 262 for more information. There's also a rumour that the Discovery Channel will be making a documentary about the disaster and it's aftermath. They originally had a film crew there to shoot Joby Ogwyn's attempt to wingsuit from the summit but they cancelled their filming out of respect for the victims of the tragedy. Things are still very much up in the air so keep an eye on our Facebook page for all the latest news. Footage Courtesy of Follow us on:
