A month back we reported on US Climber Paige Classens’ Lead Now Tour, where she travels around the World inspiring local people through rock climbing. She’s also raising money for local charities and crushing some hard routes, as we see on this video of her making the first ascent of “Middle Earth” in Ecuador. She graded it 8b, which would be tough enough at any altitude, but the route is at 4000m above sea level.

We’ve got news that 2 local Oregon climbers have added what is possibly the hardest alpine route in the State. Tyler Adams and Steve Elder had been studying the East face of Mount Thielsen before finally finding the conditions they were after earlier this spring.
