In the third part of our exclusive interview with German climber Alex Megos, we discuss the parts of his 2014 that you may not have heard about. Over the Summer, Alex visited South Africa with his friend and climbing partner Wiz Fineron to work on his dyno technique. His efforts clearly paid off as Alex managed to climb 'Sky' (8B/V13) using a wild double dyno technique which bumped the route's grade to nearer 8B+. Alex wasn't just sticking close to the ground in 2014 however and in June he undertook his first major 'big wall' objective, free climbing 'The Fly' (8c) in Lauterbrunnental, Switzerland. Alex's ascent marked the first time that this twenty-pitch behemoth had been free climbed in a single push.
