Today we’re all about speed records. First up we’ve got a video of Dani Arnold breaking Ueli Steck’s time on the Matterhorn’s north face by 10 minutes and creating a new, and frankly unbelievable record of 1 hour 46 minutes. Next we’re off to Yosemite, where big wall speed climber Dean Potter has surprised everyone by breaking the fastest known time for running up and down Half Dome. There’s no technical climbing on the route and Dean isn’t known as a runner so this bit of news was slightly random to say the least. Dean has obviously got the taste for this sort of thing though and he reckons that he can improve his time of 2.17.52 and is hoping to get under 2 hours soon.
