Once again, we're back at ISPO and on today's show we're catching up with British climber Stevie Haston and Swiss alpinist Ueli Steck representing Grivel and Mountain Hardware respectively. First up, Ueli talks us through the Quasar Insulated Jacket which he helped to design. The jacket's greatest quality is its fantastic warmth-to-weight ratio, providing fantastic insulation at just 617 grams. Mountain Hardware have also focussed on waterproofing and not only is the jacket's insulation water-resistant but the shell itself is waterproof, making it perfect for alpine climbing or Scottish Winter. From software, we go to hardware and specifically Grivel's Clepsydra carabiner, designed for use with belay devices. In addition to Grivel's twingate closing mechanism, which eliminates the risk of the gate opening accidentally, the Clepsydra also features a capture gate to eliminate the risk of cross-loading.
