First up we've got a simple but effective video of Alex Megos climbing House of Shock in the Frankenjura area of Germany. The route was established by Markus Bock a few years back and none other than Adam Ondra described the holds as "tiny". High praise indeed!

Next, we've got some news that will make just about everyone feel both old, and weak. 9, yes9, year old Angie Scarth Johnson has climbed her second 8a, just 2 and a half years after she started climbing. Having already climbed 8b with an ascent of Swingline in Kentucky's Red River Gorge, this isn't her hardest ascent but in just 3 weeks in Margalef, Spain, she got through 3 7c+'s and an 8a -- a decent climbing trip by any standards.
Being just 4 feet tall, Angie has to climb routes much differently to anyone else and pull on intermediate holds that others can just reach past. Much as Adam Ondra climbed harder and harder as he grew, there's surely more to come from Angie over the coming years.
