First up today we’ve got yet another fantastic video of rock climbing in Australia, this time in Tasmania. We seem to get lots of videos from Aus, and Tasmania in particular seems to be really up and coming. In this film we follow a climber called Andrew Cubbon, who goes by the nickname of Squib, making the first ascent of a stunning trad route called Augmentium in the Freycinet National Park. He’s graded it 8a+ and placed all the gear on lead.
Thanks to Simon Bischoff and Get a Dog Up Ya Productions for the footage. If you’d like to help out with their next big project of creating a feature length film about climbing Tasmania, go to pozible.com and search for “Isle of Rock”.

Next in our Tuesday training tips series, we’re with professional rock climber Mayan Smith-Gobat.
