In May of 2013, Graham Zimmerman and Mark Allen put up the First ascent of the North East Buttress on Mt Laurens, a peak which is off the South West Fork Of The Lacuna Glacier.
The pair managed the ascent after a difficult approach, and once on the mountain they managed the top on their 3rd day after 2 bivvies.
Mt Laurens is in a rarely travelled part of the Alaskan Ranges, and the only previous recorded people to go on the mountain, was an Austrian Thomas Bubendorf who names the mountain after his son.
