Each year the Labor Day weekend means we rally to visit our southern neighbors for the classic King of New York whitewater kayaking series which takes place in the Adirondacks - part of New York state. We were a group of 20 people stacked in the 'Magic Bus'. Needless to say we had some pretty magic parties in there. The first event was a race down the long, stout and technical Raquette river. It was awesome to see the number of racers who were ready to challenge themselves for 6 long minutes down class V rapids. The day after, everyone rallied up to the Eagle section of the Beaver river. This course is really short. With scoring times between 1:30 to 2:00 minutes, every little mistake can cost you precious time. The Eagle consists of 5 majors steep, narrow and technical slides. Check out the video to see how great and gnarly theses races are. King of New York 2013, Whitewater Kayaking Races | Quebec Connection, Ep. 3
