It's not every day that we have the opportunity to report on one-of-a-kind ascents, but today, we definitely have one for you. In July this year a team of British climbers successfully summited the Eiger by its West Flank route. However, what made this ascent so impressive was that the majority of the team were paraclimbers. The team, comprising John Churcher (Visually Impaired), Alex Taylor (Multiple Sclerosis) and Jamie Owen (Autistic) took on the challenge along with Colin J Gourlay and Mark McGowan. The expedition was documented by Finalcrux Films, with two cameramen; Euan Ryan and Willis Morris making the trip. We managed to catch up with Euan to find out a little bit more about the climb and the experience of filming such an inspiring ascent. Many thanks to Finalcrux Films for the footage used in this video. Stay tuned to their website and social media for news of the full film.
