Hi Shannon, Twingate carabiners are marketed as locking carabiners just like screwgates or twist-locks or even Black diamond's magnetron. The speed at which you can clip twingate carabiners could make them preferable to existing designs but we think that in the long run, any time savings would be cancelled out by the difficulty of use (imagine trying to unclip one from the back of your harness whilst wearing gloves). If you're looking to buy some new locking carabiners then definitely have a look at some twingates, but keep in mind that although they might have some advantages over screwgates, they come with some brand new disadvantages too.
