Who says that you need a beach and big waves to surf? Surf legend Robby Naish has more than enough of those in his native Hawaii. His board accompanies him on a visit to the legendary city of Venice, which he only knows from film and TV. Naish's crazy idea is to explore the Venetian waterways by stand-up surfboard, it's a culture clash of the third kind. As he paddles along the picturesque canals, our likeable champion meets a "colleague", Alessandro the Gondolier, who initiates him into the art of piloting a gondola. Robby soon masters the canal labyrinth like a true local. When he invites friends to dinner, he goes to the Floating Market to buy the ingredients for his Maccaroni alla Naish by surf board, of course! Only a surfer will explore the Lagoon City in this relaxed a fashion.
